Hernán Migoya (Ponferrada, 1971) es escritor, guionista de cómics y cineasta. Posee una de las carreras más originales y corrosivas del panorama artístico español.

Tras su sonado debut literario en 2003 con Todas putas, escribió la novela todo color, hoy de culto, Observamos cómo cae Octavio; a ese título le siguió Quítame tus sucias manos de encima, trepidante aventura fantástica inspirada en sus años vividos en el Perú; Una, grande y zombi, hilarante y terrorífica visión de la crisis española; y su segundo libro de cuentos satíricos, Putas es poco. Su nueva novela se titula Deshacer las Américas, obra libertina sobre un ciudadano español que encuentra en América Latina un paraíso heterosexual.

Como guionista de cómics, es autor de más de una veintena de álbumes y novelas gráficas de éxito. Entre otros, ha obtenido el Premio al Mejor Guión del Salón Internacional del Cómic de Barcelona, y su obra ha sido editada en Estados Unidos, Francia, Alemania y el Perú. Es el único guionista español que ha publicado en las míticas revistas estadounidenses Heavy Metal y Mome. También ha sido director de la legendaria revista El Víbora.

Sus últimos títulos populares son Plagio, crónica exhaustiva sobre el secuestro real de tres días en el Perú que padeció su pareja; la ambiciosa serie mensual Nuevas Hazañas Bélicas, actualización de los míticos tebeos de guerra en la que se ocupa de todos los guiones, realizada con los mejores dibujantes españoles del momento; y la parodia biográfica de la presentadora Laura Bozzo titulada Señorita Laura, primer Premio Luces al Mejor Cómic Publicado en el Perú en 2015.

En noviembre de 2017 aparecía Tatuaje, el primer álbum en los que Hernán Migoya emprende la adaptación a cómic de las novelas de Pepe Carvalho.

Como periodista, ha colaborado con numerosos medios de la prensa española, como El MundoRock de LuxPrimera Líneathecult.es, teenagethunder.com, etc. También ha protagonizado hitos mediáticos: en 2010 se hizo pasar por enviado especial de TVE para un programa humorístico de la TV peruana, logrando entrevistar a muchas de las personalidades públicas de aquel país, incluido su actual presidente del Gobierno, Ollanta Humala, el rockero Pedro Suárez Vertiz Keiko Fujimori, hija del célebre dictador.

Como director de cine, ha dirigido el filme ¡Soy un pelele! y como guionista ha escrito varios largometrajes, incluido el taquillero filme de terror Shiver.

Actualmente vive entre Barcelona y Lima.

Hernán Migoya (Spain, 1971) is a book, comics and movies writer. He owns one of the most original and caustic careers in the Spanish artistic field.

His first fiction book was published in 2003- Todas putas(All Whores)was a total shock in Spanish society and the Government asked for its banning, since they considered the book was an apology for rape. After that, in 2005 Migoya wrote the book about three children Observamos cómo cae Octavio (As we watch Octavio falling), with texts in colours, each one identifying a different character- today it has a cult status. Then, in 2007 he published Putas es poco(Whores and more), the follow-on to his literary debut; and in 2010, his ambitious Quítametussuciasmanos de encima (Take Your Dirty Hands Off Me), an homage to 70s sci-fi American movies, his best way to write a fantastic adventure and describe the incredible reality of Peru at the same time.

His new fiction book is Deshacer las Américas(Undoing America), the story of an European citizen who finds in Latin America an heterosexual heaven.

Migoya has also written more than 20 graphic novels, some of them very successful. He has earned the Prize to Best Comics Script at the Salón Internacional del Cómic de Barcelona, and his work has been published in USA, France, Germany and Peru. He is the only Spanish writer whose work has been included in magazines Heavy Metal and Mome. He has also been director of legendary underground comics magazine El Víbora.

His last efforts in comics have been Plagio, the true story of his wife three-day kidnapping in Peru; the monthly series Nuevas Hañazas Bélicas (New War Great Deeds), the reboot of a legendary Spanish title from the 50s, war stories settled at the Spanish Civil War from both sides of the conflict, drawn by more than 20 of today best Spanish comics artists; and Señorita Laura (Miss Laura), a biographical parody of infamous Latin TV host Laura Bozzo, graphic novel which was awarded with the first Luces Prize to Best Comic Published in Peru in 2015.

In November of 2017 appeared Tatuaje, the first album where Hernán Migoya begins the comic adaptation of the novels of Pepe Carvalho.

As a journalist, he has contributed with his articles to many Spanish newspapers and magazines, like El Mundo, Rock de Lux, Primera Línea, thecult.es, teenagethunder.com, etc.He also starred in a celebrated mockumentary, El milagro peruano(The Peruvian Miracle, 2010) in which he impersonated a journalist from Spanish public network, RTVE, in order to interview the main figures in Peruvian politics and celebrities. He interviewed former President OllantaHumalaand the daughter of dictator Fujimori, Keiko.
As filmmaker, he directed a comedy, ¡Soy un pelele! (I, the Clown! 2006) and has written several screenplays, among them the one who was made into the successful film Shiver.

Nowadays, he lives between Barcelona and Lima.
